8 You should owe nothing to anyone, except that you will always owe love to each other. The person who loves others has done all that the law commands. 9 The law says, "You must not commit adultery, you must not murder anyone, you must not steal, you must not want what belongs to someone else." MADE RIGHT BY FAITH. DON'T STUMBLE ON THE STONE
So what does all this mean? It means that people ...were made right with God because of their faith, even though they were not trying to make themselves right.
31 And the people ... who tried to make themselves right with God by following the law, did not succeed. 32 They failed because they tried to make themselves right by the things they did.
